The latest rumors surrounding the Xbox One are that the demos that Microsoft allowed people to play on at E3 were not running on an Xbox One, but instead running on high-end PCs with Titan graphics cards.
If this is the case, they were running the games on a system that is around 3x faster than the Xbox One.These rumors are backed up by images that clearly show a high-end desktop under the displays of the Xbox One stands at E3.
people have actually sat down on their chair, went to a gaming website, searched for the xbox one, clicked the pre-order button, paid $500, and are actually waiting for it
if you listen closely you can hear sony laughing in the distance
On a Windows 7 operating system. So Windows 8 is so bad even Microsoft won’t use it. Good to know.
How do they manage to make this worse for themselves literally every single day? It’s stunning.
A couple of things: running games on PC hardware for demoing purposes is normal. Microsoft isn’t the first to do this. In fact, this just standard practice at this point.
However, the problem isn’t that it’s running on a PC, it’s that, according to what I’ve been reading, the demos were running on PCs that were actually higher spec than an Xbox One, so it’s basically making the games look better than they actually will on the console.
